Software solution for the Caddy SOS / emergency call function fault
The warning "Error: Emergency call function. Please visit a workshop." is eliminated with special software loaded onto the SOS control unit (Telematic ECU) through the OBD2 socket; depending on the customer's preference the system is either switched off or made to work again.
2021-2023Permanently disabling the SOS system
The SOS emergency call function is switched off completely and the "SOS Error" / "Emergency Call Fault" messages on the display are permanently removed.
Bringing the SOS system back into service
The fault is eliminated by software and the SOS emergency call system is made to work again; this method requires more extensive coding and software work.
