Datalog
& Performance Diagnostics
Data-driven performance analysis in Gaziantep.
The car's health is checked by measurement before the work, and the accuracy of the result after it.
Power on its own is not a result.
No sound performance analysis is possible without reading critical data such as boost, lambda, ignition, fuel pressure and temperature together.
How we work
Pre-check
Diagnostic scan, fault memory and an assessment of the car's mechanical condition.
Data logging
Logs are taken on the existing software; the baseline values are kept for comparison.
Calibration
Loading software prepared for the specific car and hardware configuration.
Verification
New logs are taken and compared with the earlier data; corrected if needed.
Vehicle health before software
Before starting calibration we make sure the car is healthy. A diagnostic scan reads stored and pending fault codes, and live data is checked against sensible ranges.
A weak sensor, a blocked filter or overdue servicing turns into a problem after the work. We do not wave away what the pre-check finds.
Boost target / actual
Shows whether the turbo really produces the pressure it is asked for. The gap between target and actual can point to anything from wastegate setting to a leak.
Lambda
Shows what ratio the air-fuel mixture settles at under load. Keeping this value in a safe range is what lets the engine run comfortably at high load.
Ignition timing
Ignition advance and knock correction are read together. If the engine keeps pulling advance, something is at its limit — from fuel quality to temperature.
Rail pressure
Shows whether the fuel system can meet the increased demand. Pressure drops mean the mixture cannot be held where it should be.
IAT
Intake air temperature shows whether cooling is adequate. As temperature rises the engine pulls back to protect itself, and that directly affects repeatability.
Torque request / limit
Shows the relationship between the torque the engine requests and the torque the system allows. A limit on the gearbox side becomes visible here — TCU calibration comes in at this point.
Wastegate duty
Shows how hard the wastegate control is working. If it is permanently at its limit, we know the target pressure is not sustainable with the current hardware.
Verification after the work
Once the software is loaded, new logs are taken and compared with the baseline data. If the expected behaviour is not there, the calibration is revised.
This step is the only way to show that the work really does what it was meant to do.ECU calibration and BMW pages describe the process as well.
